About our Client

Our client is an electricity retailer to homes and businesses in regional Queensland.

About the Role

Provide assistance to the Test and Commissioning Engineer in delivery of Mechanical commissioning and testing services to facilitate construction and commission of projects, and may oversee the testing/commissioning of others who test simple plant to ensure practices are complied with and makes Generation plant and equipment safe for operational use prior to energisation.

Skill Set Required

Essential

• Demonstrated applied knowledge in power management, power systems predominantly with diesel engines.
• High level of interpersonal skills in coach and mentor other employees.
• Prepared to take a leadership role to manage and supervise on site testing.
• Good verbal written presentation and report writing skills.
• Proven ability to project manage to specified targets.

Desirable

• Demonstrated knowledge in renewable power systems, solar, wind, geo-thermal, bio diesel to integrate renewable technology in diesel generation environments.

Qualifications

Essential

• Qld trade certificate as Mechanical Fitter or Diesel Fitter
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Drivers Licence

Desirable

• Advanced Diploma of Mechanical Engineering Technology
