Our client, recognised as one of Queensland's leading firms with a large corporate client base and offices throughout QLD, is seeking a mid level lawyer with a genuine interest in employment law.
About the Role
The firm works in the following areas and you will be exposed to some, if not all of the following
- Strategic Advice, Workplace Relations
- Enterprise Bargaining, Collective Agreements
- Executive Contracts
- Subcontracting/Independent Contracting
- Award Interpretation
- Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution
- Defence of Workplace Health and Safety Prosecutions
- WorkCover Statutory Claims and Rehabilitation Issues
- Workplace Investigation
- Redundancy Issues
- Termination of Employment
- Unfair Dismissal
- Discrimination and Sexual Harassment
- Industrial Commissions and Courts
Skill Set Required
Ideally, you will have at 3years PAE in employment law and the ability to take instructions and run matters in their own right. You will need to focus on successful and defined outcomes, have strong attention to detail and a desire to surpass client expectations.
