Sally Mlikota

Sally Mlikota - Director

Sally joined CBC Staff Selection in January 1999, and took over ownership of the business in April 2004. Since that time the company has established an enviable reputation within the recruitment industry by consistently delivering a personalised and comprehensive service to both clients and candidates.

Sally’s background in recruitment spans over many years, initially in London recruiting Accountants, then Hong Kong recruiting Derivative Traders, before joining Michael Page in Sydney, initially heading up a Finance Recruitment team and then moving on to develop a newly formed division of the business within IT.

Sally’s approach to recruitment is based on a choice of ethical values and reputation and is highly regarded as a leader in her profession. CBC Staff Selection has set the bench mark and established a more professional level of recruitment for the Cairn’s region.

Chris Cunsamy

Chris Cunsamy - Executive Recruitment Consultant

Chris brings to the team at CBC Staff Selection a wealth of experience as a Commercial Account Manager and Sales & Marketing Manager, having worked in hands on and strategic roles largely with a number of blue chip organisations in the travel and tourism industry in London, Sydney and here in Cairns since 2003.

Chris has expertise in managing various teams of staff including coordinating the interviewing, recruitment and selection processes. His passion is bringing out the best in any individual by means of personal development and career progression, resulting in employment longevity.

Chris is working with CBC Staff Selection to develop our expertise and depth of recruitment service delivery to senior management roles and in particular targeting the technical recruitment market.

Virginia Sharpe

Virginia Sharpe - Senior Recruitment Consultant

Virginia has worked with CBC Staff Selection since July 2003 where she managed our commercial recruitment and is now specialising and exclusively targeting the legal profession. Her knowledge and all round commercial experience along with her professional and ethical approach makes her an extremely valuable member of the team.

Virginia previously worked in Melbourne and Auckland with Hunter Premium Funding and was actively involved in setting up the company’s first International Office. Staff management, recruitment and internal restructuring are her key strengths as is her understanding of the local commercial and professional business market and trends.

Taeyla Mayde

Ayesha Hicks - Recruitment Consultant

Ayesha brings an incredibly diverse range of skills to CBC Staff Selection.  With a Bachelor of Arts, Ayesha has been a professional ballet dancer; worked as a Business and International Relations Manager for Jin Xing Dance Theatre in China where she became fluent in Mandarin; worked as a Team Leader within the Banking & Finance sector in London; and more recently managed a division of Michael Page International in Sydney which involved IT recruitment into the financial services market. 

Ayesha will combine her international expertise and commercial recruitment experience to work with CBC Staff Selection to add further depth to our team.

Kirsten Le Roux

Kirsten Le Roux - Recruitment Consultant

Kirsten’s experience in project management and client service roles within the marketing communications industry in South Africa, London, Belfast and Melbourne has provided her with a versatile and adaptive background. With a love of plenty of sunshine and anything in the great outdoors, Cairns was the obvious choice for a new home.

Staff recruitment, mentoring, training and management have always been an important part of her responsibility and an area that has interested and inspired her. Coupled with her vast experience in client service across multi-national and iconic Australian brands, Kirsten will bring a fresh approach to recruiting.

Michael Boer

Michael Boer - Recruitment Consultant

Michael joined CBC Staff Selection in September 2006 in an administration support and reception role. Michael is dedicated and enthusiastic and has a Diploma in Business & Event Management.

His talent and passion for the delivery of excellent customer service has led to him now being responsible and directly involved in the recruitment and co-ordination of the temporary placement of administration staff.

He brings an exciting new approach to our temporary recruitment team.

Kylie Barnes

Kylie Barnes – Recruitment Consultant

Kylie has a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Human Resources Management.

She commenced her career with CBC Staff Selection in 1995 and worked with the business for two years before moving into a classic HR role in hospitality and retail in Cairns, Port Douglas, Sunshine Coast and more recently in Townsville.

Kylie has returned to Cairns and after a stint in recruiting in real estate and has decided to rejoin the CBC Staff Selection team.

Her focus is on Business Development for temporary and permanent recruitment as well as working with clients to add value to their recruitment and selection processes.

Kylie combines her work commitments with a busy family life.

Eva Grabner

Eva Grabner - Recruitment Consultant

Eva joins CBC Staff Selection having come from a background which was largely within the hospitality industry here in Australia and in a multitude of exotic locations. Her previous experience focused around Human Resources along with Operations and General Management.

Eva has a passion for getting the best out of her team, motivating them through strong leadership and career guidance. Eva’s role is that of business development, working with clients to better understand their temporary and permanent recruitment requirements.


Louise Eisenmenger

Louise Eisenmenger - Project Co-Ordinator

Louise has an in depth background in Human Resources Management within aviation and the hospitality industry as well as working for a recruitment company in Melbourne where she worked in a supporting role to a team of consultants. Louise has worked and lived in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Los Angeles which has given her a thorough understanding of the complexities of living interstate and abroad.

Her strong depth of administrative support, understanding of the recruitment industry and desire for excellence in customer service are ideal qualities to provide an outstanding level of support to our administrative function.

Tania Wakeman

Tania Wakeman - Finance Manager

Tania has lived in Cairns for over 20 years and has been involved in a number of key industries including tourism, insurance, food and construction. She has also managed her own business for several years so has a very good understanding and knowledge of business and finance. Most recently, Tania was employed as Office Manager for a large construction company, where she combined her outstanding financial skills with general office management.

Tania manages CBC Staff Selection’s business accounts and payroll and provides support to our clients and candidates.


Christina French

Christina French - Administration Assistant

Christina joined CBC Staff Selection as an Administration Assistant providing support to our team of consultants and relief reception. Christina has worked within retail for seven years which provided her with a superior level of customer service training and staff management skills.

Christina is a strong support to our consultants due to her organisational skills and multi-tasked ability and is a valued member of the team.




Elizabeth Crook

Elizabeth Crook – Receptionist

Liz brings to CBC Staff Selection a wealth of experience gained with Ansett Airlines, an Avionics business and WHK Greenwoods. Prior to joining the CBC Staff Selection team Liz worked as a temporary contractor for us with a number of clients. Liz has a passionate regard for colour and interior design and loves renovating houses in her limited spare time.

We call her our ‘Director of First Impressions’.
